First Heysea Seaview 56 Catamaran Sold in China
By Asia-pacific boating | 8 January 2021
The 17.61-metre sailing cat debuted in October 2020, and sold within three months
Heysea has sold its newly released catamaran sailing yacht, the Seaview 56, to an entrepreneur based in Beijing.
The 17.61-metre, twin-hull cat debuted at the SMC International Yacht Show, held on the Shenzhen Coast in October 2020, and sold within three months.
Designed on the outside by Bill Dixon, with interiors by Paolo Dose, the Seaview 56 expands the living space by 30% compared to a conventional yacht.
For charters, five guest cabins can be located on the lower deck, with a larger salon for parties or family gatherings. For owners, a fully equipped galley can be put on the main deck. The buyer opted for the owner layout.
With a 28-metre height above the water level, the mast features 112 square-metre mainsails. The sails can push the boat up to a cruising speed of 8-10 knots.
In the owner version, the main deck equips a well-furnished galley and salon, while accommodating up to eight guests on the bottom deck. The charter version, which accommodates 10 guests, places the galley in the bottom deck, releasing more socialising space on the main deck.
Heysea has confirmed they’re aiming at the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, and the Southeast Asia markets with their newest release.
